Natasha Krakovsky was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. The unique blend of
Faberge Style and Russian Icons is the artist's own invention.
Russian icons, a descendant of Byzantine art, with its highly stylized figures
drawn to emphasize the spiritual rather than the physical aspect of man is
captured by Natasha in her eggs.
The painted Faberge motifs appear in the eggs backgrounds as decorative netting
interspersed with tiny brilliants, clusters of miniature flowers or ornamental
arabesques. The finished product is exquisite to the eye, impressive in its
complexity of design and admirable in its careful execution.
Natasha's eggs have been exhibited around the world and received appreciation in
the United States, Switzerland and France.
